Cake makers from all over Edinburgh, and its surrounds are donating edible goodies which will be sold at the Quaker Meeting House at 7 Victoria Terrace on Saturday 26th March from 11am 3pm.
100% of money taken at this event will be donated to the Red Cross’ Japan Tsunami Appeal. If you can’t make the event, you can still make a donation here.
If you’d like to get involved in the event in any way please email dee (@) itsy.org.uk – the more cakes and treats there are, the more money will be raised. You can also contact her on twitter – @DeeItsy
There will be vegan treats on offer too, so if dairy isn’t for you, there will still be options to choose from.
For inspiration check out the Cakes for Japan blog- started by renowned treat maker Miss Cakehead. There is also a facebook event page so please spread the word and invite your friends to raise lots of money over cake and good conversation.

Edinburgh people LOVE their cakes. Event created and we’re helping spread the cakey word.

This is a great initiative, delighted to support.
The event is right near my juice bar, and I can take a store of cake boxes up in the morning as it sounds like that’s what you might need most at the moment.
